As the Angel was trying to inspire Quasar to have a leap of faith, he was dispersed by Blue Marvel. He assumed that the Angel was a manifestation of Eon, and would not allow blood to be shed in his name simply to leave the White Room. The Angel offered to kill the one who had killed Quasar in order for Wendell to move onward, but Wendell was suspicious of the Angel's true nature. Īssuming the form of the Angel of Vengeance Eon appeared to Wendell Vaughn in the White Room after his apparent death in the Infinity War.
Įon was apparently slain by Maelstrom, who stole the secret of Cosmic Awareness from him. Įon is believed to have designed the Quantum Bands, which he gave to his Protectors of the Universe as their personal weapons.
He granted the Kree with the power of Cosmic Awareness and designated him the "Protector of the Universe." Captain Marvel returned to Earth, to resume his fight with Thanos and save the universe from destruction.

Eon teleported the Kree Captain Marvel to him to meet him in person, where he enlightened Mar-Vell through a series of visions, including showing him the past of the Eternals, Thanos and Titan. When Thanos was executing his plans to destroy all life in the universe. It was also an offspring of Eternity, as well as parent to the cosmic being Epoch. It served the universe from its own dimension, the Eonverse, while appointing various Protectors of the Universe as his champions.

Once it occupies a time period, it spreads out to engulf the adjacent realities.Īlioth also negates temporal energy, preventing travel through it to a time before it exists. It grows in size and power by absorbing time travelers’ bodies into its mass. It can extend pseudopodia to attack focal beings or locations. POWERSĪ trans-temporal entity, Alioth exists across divergent realities as an enormous cloud destroying all it touches, causing massive temporal disturbance and devastation across entire dimensions. Kang subsequently weakened Tempus slightly, allowing Alioth to break into the Time Variance Authority’s realm, throwing them into turmoil. Tempus thus held Alioth at bay, just as he always had, except for a brief ripple in time Kang later claimed he arranged Alioth’s release to eliminate the Council. Absorbing the Council members’ energies and then Alioth’s own power, Tempus grew gigantic, eventually reaching reality-wide proportions and spreading across the timestream, creating the time barrier between Alioth’s realm and Chronopolis. Narrowly escaping absorption, Kang and Terminatrix enlisted the Avengers to enter Alioth’s substance within the Council’s chambers and activate Kang’s Chrono Key, which transformed into the monolithic warrior Tempus. Aided by her own potential future self Revelation, Terminatrix revived Kang, but Alioth absorbed the Council of Cross-Time Kangs. Terminatrix fled, but Alioth followed, assaulting Chronopolis city. Exploring an anomaly at the edge of Kang’s domain, she encountered the time barrier curious, she blasted it to learn what it hid, apparently summoning or releasing Alioth.
A temporal barrier blocked Alioth from entering Kang’s realm, Chronopolis, and conquering all time periods.Īfter Kang was rendered comatose saving the Terminatrix (Ravonna Renslayer), she took over Kang’s empire.

Allegedly the first being to free itself from the timestream, Alioth grew in power, becoming the supreme time being over all realities from the dawn of life on Earth to the edge of Kang the Conqueror’s dominion.
